In the spring of 2005, my family moved to Woodstock to get closer to my job. It was bittersweet as we left a home and community that we loved. However, over the last five years, the city of Woodstock has captured our heart as we have become woven into its fabric. The following are 20 reasons why we love this city:
- Most parts of the country you have to explain why you go to church. In Woodstock you have to explain why you don’t.
- The most influential person in our city is a pastor.
- I can be on a crowded interstate and within minutes be in the country, watching deer.
- Chick-Fil-A Breakfast Bar – Need I say more?
- Mechanics I trust
- Atlanta to the South – Smoky Mountains to the North.
- Zaxby’s Restaurants that play Chris Tomlin over the speakers.
- People say “Please”, ” Thank You”, “Pardon Me” and most importantly “I’m Sorry”.
- Great school systems.
- Neighborhoods with sidewalks, playgrounds, and neighbors that genuinely care.
