The Woodstock Tax Reform Club is a local chapter of Americans for Fair Taxation. Americans for Fair Taxation endorses Congressman John Linder's National Sales Tax Bill that would replace our present Income Tax with a Federal Sales Tax.
The purpose of the local chapters is to inform the public about the National Retail Sales Tax, to provide the latest tax reform news from around the country and to motivate people to get involved. The Woodstock chapter meets at the Woodstock Public Library on the second Monday of the month.
Regarding involvement, meeting organizer Conrad Quagliaroli is fond of saying; "As citizens of a democracy, Americans are a lot like farmers in that we reap what we sow. If a farmer sat on his front porch and did not plant any seeds, he would not have a crop. If we do not plant any seeds and tell our representatives what we want, we will get what we are given. And they gave us an insane income tax system."
