	What can you do for Mother's Day or Father's Day that is extra special? Enter your Mom and Dad in The TowneLaker magazine "Mother of the Year" contest and "Father

Essays should be 200 words or less and answer the following three questions:

What does your Mom or Dad do that makes you feel special?

	of the Year" contest. All you have to do is write an essay telling us why your Mom or Dad is the best ever. You'll need to write separate essays if you decide to enter both! Think about all of the special times you have with your Mom or Dad. Do they take you to the park? On vacation? Do they go out of their way to let you know you're special? Well, let them know they're special by writing a heartfelt essay. It's a terrific way to say, "I'm glad you're my parents!" The winning Mother of the Year essay will be published in the May issue of The TowneLaker magazine and the winning mother will be featured on the cover. The winning Father of the Year essay will be published in the June issue of The TowneLaker magazine. The winning father will be featured on the cover. All nominees will receive an honorable mention.

Deadline for Mother of the Year nominations is Friday, April 6, at 5 p.m. Deadline for Father of the Year nominations is Tuesday, May 8 at 5 p.m. All entries should be for a mother or father who lives in the Towne Lake area. Essays must be accompanied by the writer's full name and age, the nominee's name, a contact phone number and address. Essays will be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.
