Summertime often means camp-time for kids of all ages. Whether it's splashing in the lake, horse-back riding through the woods or creating masterpieces in an art studio -- the Towne Lake area has tons of summer activities. Here are a few of the camps offered in the Towne Lake area.
CHEROKEE RECREATION AND PARKS AUTHORITY
CRPA All-Sport Camp Ages: Ages 6 -- 8 Dates: June 25 -- 29, 9 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Cost: $110 Location: Hobgood Park Contact: (770) 924-7768, Betsy Allgood The All Sport camp allows children to experience a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, softball, flag football, tennis, volleyball and swimming. Early drop off and pick up is available at the Recreation Center 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. for extra $20 charge.
Outdoor Expeditions Camp Ages: Ages 7 -- 12 Dates: June 11 -- 15, 7 a.m. -- 6 p.m. Cost: $110 Contact: (770) 924-7768, registration begins April 30 This camp is designed for participants to experience adventures and instill a better appreciation of nature. Campers will canoe, kayak, hike, swim, fish and more.
TWIRL TIME BATON AND DANCE CAMP

TWIRL TIME DANCE TEAM AND POM POM CAMP

ART CAMP 2001
Ages: Ages 6 -- 12 Dates: Monday through Friday, in June and July 9 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m. Location: Sixes Elementary School and Woodstock School of Ballet Cost: $115 per week Contact: (770) 924-2053 This is the fifth annual Art Camp held by the Arts Alliance of Georgia in partnership with the Cherokee County Board of Education. The camp will focus on hands-on learning of the visual arts.
