YOUNG LOCAL ARTISTS REMIND US
TO BE KIND TO ANIMALS

More than 50 kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade entered the fourth annual TowneLaker Be Kind to Animals Art Contest. In recognition of "National Be Kind to Animals Week" Towne Lake area kids were encouraged to submit an original drawing or painting following the theme of "Proper Pet Care," "Animal Overpopulation," "The Importance of Spaying and Neutering a Pet" or "Endangered Species."

The artwork was displayed throughout the month of May in the windows of CENTURY 21 Advantage and will continue to be displayed through July 15. A very special thank you goes out to John Bodie, Executive Director of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter, for taking on the very difficult task of judging the entries. Prizes were awarded in four age categories.

Congratulations to all entrants for an outstanding job! And remember - Always "Be Kind to Animals!"
