WAYNE
KOSBE
August's
Pathfinder is Wayne Kosbe. Many of you may know
Wayne from his business, Towne
Lake Fitness. However, did you know that Wayne has also been an active
member of the community and has been involved in many causes for the area?
Wayne recently organized the first ever Taste
of Towne Lake in the South Pointe shopping center. Residents sampled a
variety of foods from restaurants in the Towne Lake area. There was a
5K Fun Run and activities for the children. Proceeds of over $3,000 from
these events were donated to the Anna Crawford Children's Center.
Towne Lake Fitness also held its first annual
clothing drive "Shed Your Hang Ups" this year. The clothes were donated
by friends, club members and various people from the community. The program
was very successful due to the time and effort given by Wayne and the
Towne Lake Fitness staff. Over 600 pounds of clothing were collected and
donated to the Cherokee County Battered Womens' Shelter.
Wayne has also been involved with the Cherokee
Jubilee at Towne Lake since its inception. He has been very involved with
improving on our community through business and has served as President
of the Towne Lake Business Association for multiple terms. Wayne constantly
promotes new businesses in the area and wants to see (as we all do) the
Towne Lake area continue to grow and improve.
In addition to his community service, Wayne
is also very active with the children in the area. He recently coached
an inline hockey team at Hockey Time and has coached little league at
Hobgood Park. He has also dedicated his time to coaching boy's basketball
at a local area church.
Wayne, for all you do to make this community
a better place to live, we thank you!
