Senior Aerobics Program
The CRPA offers a fitness program specifically
designed for Seniors on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m.

Silver Roamers Club
If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites
and having a great time, then why not join the Silver Roamers Club! The
Club meets once a month to discuss upcoming trips and to visit with each
other. Benefits of membership include 20% discounts on all trips and chances
to win prizes by accumulating miles in the Roamer Mileage Club. Membership
is open to adults 55 and older and costs $20 per year. For information,

Georgia Mountain Fair
Join the Silver Roamers on Wednesday, August 8 for a trip to the Georgia
Mountain Fair. This fair is non-stop events, exhibits and fun for everyone.
The Fair has an "Ole-Timey" Pioneer Village with arts and crafts, and
building and equipment of days gone by. The group will stop at the Blue
Ridge Mountain Restaurant on the way to the fair grounds for a wonderful
home cooked buffet. The cost is $23 for members and $25 for non-members.
Cost includes admission, lunch and transportation.

CNN Studio/Philips
Arena Tour
On Monday, August 13, the Silver Roamers will take a tour of the CNN Studio
and Philips Arena. The CNN tour is an exciting behind the scenes look
at CNN's global news network. See how the news is made. After the CNN Tour,
tour Philips Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks Basketball and the Atlanta
Thrashers Hockey teams. This tour will view all levels of the arena and
the locker rooms. After the tours, have lunch at Philips Arena. The cost
is $17 for members and $20 for non-members. Cost includes CNN Studio Tour,
Philips Arena Tour and transportation.
The Phantom of the Opera
Join the Silver Roamers on Thursday, August 23 for the Atlanta Broadway
Series presenting The Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre. Harold
Prince directs Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. It received
the Tony Award for Best Musical — the international phenomenon that
has dazzled standing room only audiences all over the world. The Phantom
of the Opera is coming to take our breath away so don't miss this classic
show. Sign up no later than August 9. The cost is $45 for members and
$48 for non-members. Cost includes admission and transportation.
Octoberfest
Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation has invited the Silver Roamers
to attend the 2001 Octoberfest in the Golden Isles of Georgia from Wednesday,
October3 through Friday October 5.

The three day leisure trip
will be held at Epworth-by-the-Sea and St. Simons Island. Attractions
will include a tour of Jekyll Island, St.
Simons and Sea Islands, Sapelo Island and Savannah. The cost is $250 for
members and $270 for non-members. Cost includes hotel room, meals, tour,
and transportation. The initial $50 deposit is due Wednesday, August 1,
the second $50 deposit is due Friday, August 31 and the remaining balance
is due by Monday, September 10.
Hobgood Park
Hobgood Park is a wonderful facility located
at the north entrance of Towne Lake. It is open every day from 7 a.m.
to 10 p.m. It features four lighted softball fields, a lighted playground,
four lighted tennis courts, a ½-mile jogging trail, two pavilions with
grills, and six youth softball fields. For more information on Hobgood

Recreation Center
The Recreation Center is located at the South
Annex at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays
from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturdays
from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. The Center is closed Sundays. The Center has
several rooms available for rent including the Aerobics Room, Community
Room, Gymnasium, Stage, Warming Kitchen and Pavilion.
