Boys and Girls Club
The Cherokee County Boys and Girls Club
is in need of volunteers to help with their annual Christmas Party for
over 120 boys and girls, which will be held on December 20. New wrapped
gifts for kid's ages 6 —- 15 are also needed to make sure each child
has a special Christmas. Volunteers are needed to help serve the food

Cherokee County Humane Society Foster
Rescue Program
CCHS Foster Rescue Program is in desperate
need of foster homes for cats and kittens. The Foster Rescue program helps
alleviate overcrowding at the shelter as well as offering an option for
very young kittens that arrive at the shelter. The Foster Rescue Program
is thrilled to announce that a new off-site adoption location dedicated
to fosters and rescues has just been secured and should go a long way
towards shortening the amount of time a foster is in a home. For more

Cherokee County Senior Services Travel
Cherokee County Senior Services is offering
travel packages to Seniors between now and the end of December. All packages
include transportation from the Senior Center to the designation, applicable
meals, planned activities and lodging for overnight trips. The following
trips are available. November 8, Harrah's Cherokee Casino in North Carolina.
November 14 - 16, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. November 26 - 27, The Biltmore

Craft Show
Heritage Presbyterian will host their 1st
Annual Holiday Craft Show to be held Friday and Saturday, November 9 —-

Craft Show
Hillside United Methodist Church will host
their 7th Annual Holiday Craft Show to be held Friday and Saturday, November

Family Violence Center
The Cherokee Family Violence Center is
seeking volunteers. The Center offers shelter and support groups for women
and children who are victims of domestic violence. The Center will be

Jewish Federation Seeks Volunteers
The Shalom Atlanta Program of the Jewish
Federation of Greater Atlanta is looking for volunteers to be part of

Miss Woodstock Beauty Pageant
The 3rd Annual Miss Woodstock Beauty Pageant
will be held Sunday, November 4 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Woodstock Recreation

Papa's Pantry
Papa's Pantry is seeking volunteers to assist
with food drives and fund raising. They also take donations of food all
year round and now accept fresh fruits and vegetables that have a "shelf-life"

Open Baseball Tryouts
The Woodstock Wolves 7th grade baseball team
will be holding tryouts on November 4 and 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hobgood

Pet Adoptions
The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is open
for adoptions Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Off-site
pet adoptions are also held on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Saturdays at Hwy
92 PetsMart, 1st Saturday at the Animal Hospital of Towne Lake (Dr. Weaver),
3rd Saturday at Haynes Pet Center in Towne Lake, every Sunday at Hwy 92
PetsMart and the 2nd and 4th Sundays at Barrett Pkwy PetsMart. All adoptions
