FROM THE TOWNE LAKE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

TOWNE LAKE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
Business Spotlight
Towne Lake Fitness

It's great to see American spirit and pride continuing to be displayed in our community. Everywhere you go, you can see flags on homes and buildings and even flags on the cars we drive. As Americans, we can remember this fateful day through our generous contributions to the World Trade Center Relief Fund to help those that are in dire straits. Keep our President's message in mind, urging all Americans to continue to keep America moving. We will let the world know that these petty terrorist thugs cannot destroy our way of life or the world's greatest economy by their actions or threats.

There are many great opportunities available to help the economy and yourself. Two major items that come to my mind are 1) buying or refinancing a home, particularly considering current mortgage rates that are at near all-time lows, and 2) purchasing or leasing a new car with many manufacturers offering zero percent financing. I can relate first hand since I just paid off my last car, and the total interest I paid on the loan was over $7,000.

In the political arena, the Towne Lake Business Association (TLBA) is proud to announce the annexation of nine commercial parcels into the city of Woodstock. This vote was 5 to 1 with the only opposition being Susan Jones, who presented no rationale for her vote. The playing field has now been leveled for restaurants fortunate enough to be included in this annexation. They now have the opportunity to serve beer, wine and liquor seven days a week as do those that have had this opportunity within the city of Woodstock, including those located in Buckhead Crossing in Towne Lake. For Towne Lakers who choose to partake in adult beverages with your meals, you will soon be able to do so at Fresco's and Kani House, right here in our own neighborhood without having to drive any further just for this convenience. Show your support by dining at any of our many Towne Lake area restaurants.

At our last TLBA Lunch "N" Learn workshop, we discussed the importance of "branding" each of our businesses to let our customers know exactly who we are and why we do what we do better than any other brand. The topic for our November workshop will be "Private Lending For High Profits . Earn High Profits with Very Low Risk."

We invite businesses in our community to join with us in growing our businesses in the Towne Lake area community. As always, we thank you for your support and comments. You can reach us by visiting our website at www.tlba.org, calling us at (770) 517-8210, ext. 550 or by coming to one of our workshops. May God continue to bless America!
