 Atlanta Thrashers vs. New York Rangers

Bring the family to an NHL game. The Recreation Center is offering a Friday night of hockey at Phillips Arena, February 8. The cost is $35, which includes the game ticket and transportation. The departure time from the Recreation Center will be 5:30 p.m. The Atlanta Thrashers and New York Rangers will take the ice at 7:30 p.m.

 Valentine's Party and Bingo

Celebrate Valentine's Day and play bingo with friends. There will be sweet treats and games of bingo and prizes will be awarded. Thursday, February 14 at the Recreation Center beginning at 2 p.m. The cost is $3 which includes the bingo games and treats.

 KAOS Days

Do you need a place to take your child when school is out but you aren't off from work? On February 18, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. bring them to the Recreation Center for one day of camp during our Kids Are Outta School Days. The day will be filled with games, arts and crafts, field trip to the movies and more. Children will need to bring a lunch and two snacks. Early registration is required.  Mom's Morning Out

Moms, this is your chance to have a morning for yourself. On the second and fourth Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. go shopping, have coffee with a friend, pamper yourself or just go back home for a little quiet time. Kids will participate in age appropriate games, such as tumbling, movies, crafts and more. The cost is $35 per month for children ages 2 — 5.  Silver Roamers Club

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites and having a great time, then why not join the Silver Roamers Club! The Club meets once a month to discuss upcoming trips and to visit with each other. Benefits of membership include discounts on all trips and chances to win prizes by accumulating miles in the Roamer Mileage Club. Membership is open to adults 55 and older and costs $20 per year. Bring your hanky and join the Silver Roamers for a day at the theater, on Wednesday, February 20. The author of Sylvia, The Dining Room and Love Letters turns his pen toward another part of the world in this fascinating story set in Japan during the Korean War. A young naval officer is caught in a triangle involving his commander's wife. Intrigue and wartime emotions add to a poignant love story. The cost is $25 for members and $28 for non-members, this includes admission and transportation. The departure time from the Recreation Center will be 12:00 p.m., and from the Senior Center 12:15 p.m. Call the Center for more information.

 Senior Aerobics Program

The CRPA offers a fitness program specifically designed for Seniors on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. For more information, call Betsy Allgood at (770) 924-7768.

 Ladies Only Handgun Class

Firearms instructor, Steve Scruggs, will be at the Recreation Center on Tuesday, February 19, to teach ladies how to become more proficient with a handgun. Come learn how to defend yourself in a criminal attack, sharpen your shooting skills, and load and unload a gun safely. Mr. Scruggs will also teach proper use, care and storage of a handgun and how to get over the fear of owning and possibly using a handgun. For more information, call Neely Hand at (770) 924-7768.

 Recreation Center

The Recreation Center is located at the South Annex at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. The Center is closed Sundays. The Center offers a variety of programs for resident and has several rooms available for rent including the Aerobics Room, Community Room, Gymnasium, Stage, Warming Kitchen and Pavilion.
