Papa's Pantry

Papa's Pantry is seeking volunteers to assist with food drives and fund raising. Pet Adoptions

The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Off-site pet adoptions are also held on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Saturdays at Hwy 92 PetsMart, 1st Saturday at the Animal Hospital of Towne Lake (Dr. Weaver), 3rd Saturday at Haynes Pet Center in Towne Lake, every Sunday at Hwy 92 PetsMart and the 2nd and 4th Sundays at Barrett Pkwy PetsMart. Spring Fashion Fling

A fashion show to benefit the Cherokee County Senior Services will take place at the restored Holly Springs Train Depot on Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m. Models of all ages and sizes will be wearing the latest in spring clothing from Belks Department Store and each guest will receive a coupon for a special discount at Belks. Towne Lake Quilters

If you enjoy creating quilts, or would like to learn how to quilt, you will be happy to hear that a new Quilting Group has been formed. The group will meet at Hillside United Methodist Church on the second Tuesday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. Each meeting will feature a quilting lesson, show-and-tell session, Q&A for projects that need a little help, light refreshments and lots of fun and friendship. Wesley Weekend

Woodstock United Methodist Church will sponsor a "Wesley Weekend" March 1 — 3 at the church. A Wesley Weekend is a renewal experience of Christian living and community and is open to anyone wanting to gain new insights into their faith and a deeper realization of Christian community. Annual Youth Art Exhibition

The Cherokee County Arts Council is celebrating Youth Art Month with three art exhibitions in March at the Arts Center in downtown Canton behind the Justice Center. Artwork from students attending Cherokee County schools and a local homeschoolers group will be presented. There will be separate exhibitions for elementary, middle and high schools. Each show will have an opening reception to which the public is invited. Blood Drive and Women's Health Seminar

Atlantic States Bank, located at 3060 Eagle Drive, will hold a blood drive on Monday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Thursday, March 28 from 12 to 5 p.m. On Friday, March 22 at 6:15 p.m. Northside Hospital will conduct a Women's Health Seminar at 6:15 p.m. For more information, call Chad Burrell at (678) 494-8652.

Cherokee County Humane Society Foster Rescue Program

CCHS Foster Rescue Program is in desperate need of foster homes. As puppy and kitten season approaches, CCHS needs to establish homes that will be ready to foster a litter with or without a mother. When young kittens or puppies are turned into the shelter, it is primarily because of risk of disease, and space constraints make it impossible for them to stay there until they are old enough to be adopted. Family Violence Center

The Cherokee Family Violence Center is seeking volunteers. The Center offers shelter and support groups for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Cherokee County Meals-On-Wheels Seeks Volunteers

Cherokee County Meals on Wheels is seeking volunteers to work two hours one day per week or month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will be asked to pick up the meals at the Senior Center on Univeter Drive in Canton and drive them to the homes of Seniors on a given route. Volunteers are given explicit directions to the client's homes and are initially taken out on the route by a staff member. For more information, call Sharon Smith at (770) 345-7440.
