The TowneLaker's 2002 Mother of the Year
Cecelia Bennett

Congratulations to Cecelia Bennett from The TowneLaker's Community Advisory Board for being selected the 2002 Mother of the Year. Cecelia is an amazing woman who has overcome some great odds and still came out on top according to her friends and children. Cecilia and her children have lived in Towne Lake for five years and are members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. A breast cancer survivor, Cecilia is very excited about this year's Avon 3 Day Walk, in which she will participate as a walker.

Cecelia's Friends

Dear "Mother of the Year" Committee,

Cecelia Bennett has been nominated as The TowneLaker's "Mother of the Year" by her children, but we feel you should know why her friends would also like to nominate her.

In the past year Cecelia has battled cancer, faced a divorce and started a new job, all with a smile and a remarkable outlook. She is never negative; instead she instills in all who are fortunate enough to know her a positive attitude that is to be admired.

Cecelia always has a smile on her face and more importantly there is always a smile on the faces of her children. Times have been hard, but nobody would ever know what Cecelia has been through. Her children always come first. When people hear her story the comment is always, "I would have never known."

Cecelia can be found in the woods on a campout with the Boy Scouts, working on projects with her children, staying up all night with a sick child or carpooling to a dance. Cecelia has done all of this while on chemo and again with a smile on her face and a positive attitude of how lucky she is!

Cecelia and her children are also active members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

What a wonderful inspiration Cecelia is to all who are fortunate enough to know her. Her smile, positive attitude and determination are just a few of the qualities that make her a wonderful mother and friend.

Please consider our friend Cecelia Bennett for The TowneLaker's Mother of the Year.

Thank you,

- The many, many friends of Cecelia Bennett
