Around Towne

What's New
The Crossing Shopping Center on Towne
Lake Parkway is scheduled to begin construction soon. Located beside Bullock's
Wine and Spirits Warehouse, this center will be anchored by the new Publix
and several other retail shops.
A traffic light at the entrance of
Towne Lake Hills East will soon be a reality. This much needed improvement
will make our community safer for all of us.
Grading and Clearing Updates
The grading and clearing on the property
facing Highway 92 next to the Thomas Square shopping center across
from Arby's will be a retail development. The developer said plans are
underway for a service station, a fast food restaurant and several retail
businesses.
Grading and clearing on the property beside
the Hampton Inn on Parkway 575 also has begun. The developer indicated
this property is being cleared for construction of a Home Depot Nursery,
which will have wholesale and retail merchandise, as well as offer design
and installation options. In addition, in a nearby location, a Camping
Time RV Center will soon open, focusing on both sales and leases of
recreational vehicles.
The corner of Bells Ferry Road and Eagle
Drive is completely cleared of trees and debris. This property is
owned by a group of developers and is "just being cleared." No firm plans
for building has been made to date.
The construction continues at the Eagle
Watch Golf Course. The Cherokee County Water and Sewerage Authority
recently condemned the property to add much needed sewer capacity to accomodate
the community's growth. There are several specials being offered for both
members and the public during this construction phase. The completion
date is still set for June 1. For more information on the specials, call
(770) 591-1000.

on the corner of Bells Ferry and Towne Lake Parkway continues to move
forward. This station is nearing completion and should be opening soon.
Construction continues on the new Hurricane
Bay car wash, behind Bruster's Ice Cream. Hurricane Bay is a touch-less
car wash, as well as a coin operated self-serve unit for those of you
who like to wash your own cars.
