From the
Towne Lake
Business Association
I continue to be very excited and optimistic
about the economic future in our Towne. Much of my optimism is due to
a tremendous difference in the level of customer service evident in our
community compared to other parts of Atlanta. Maybe it's the competition
that forces us to perform better, or maybe it's just the many privately
owned businesses driven by service rather than the value of their company's
stock. Perhaps and most importantly, many owners and managers live in
or around our community and believe in giving back to the community.
It's nice to have our phones answered by
people rather than automated systems telling us how important our business
is, yet they don't even bother to answer the phone! I always get a good
laugh when I hear "This call may be monitored for quality assurance!"
I am proud to be a member of the TLBA. Our
focus is simple — promote, encourage, and help develop Towne Lake
area businesses. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month for our Lunch
'N' Learn Workshops to share new ideas, develop some new strategies, and
discuss ways to help promote each other. The primary focus of all of our
workshops is to help our members develop more business through effective
marketing, advertising and excellent customer service.
"Get Clients Now" was the topic of our April
workshop. We thank Anne Wright of Coaching Changes, who lead the group
through a discussion on actions we can take to get and retain new customers
and have them refer other customers to us.
As always, we thank you for supporting our
local businesses, and thus, our Towne Lake area community, and for "Keeping
Towne Lake Dollars in Cherokee."
