CALLING ALL KIDS!
ARE
YOUR GRANDPARENTS
THE GREATEST?
What
can you do for Grandparent's Day that's extra special? Enter your Grandmother
or Grandfather in The TowneLaker magazine "Grandparents of the Year" contest.
All you have to do is write an essay telling us why your Grandparent is
the best ever.
Think about all of the special times you
have with your Grandmother and/or Grandfather. Does he or she take you
to the park? Make your favorite meal? Go out of his or her way to let
you know you're special? Well, let them know they're really special by
writing a heartfelt essay.
Essays should be 200 words or less and answer
the following three questions:
1. What do your Grandparents do that makes
you feel special?
2. What makes them more special than any
other Grandparents?
3. What is the most important lesson that
your Grandparents have taught you?
The winning "Grandparents of the Year" essay
will be published in the September issue of The TowneLaker magazine. All
nominees will receive an honorable mention.
Deadline for "Grandparents of the Year" essays
is Friday, August 9, 2002 at 5 p.m. All entries should be for either a
Grandmother or Grandfather who lives in the Towne Lake area. Essays should
be 200 words or less. Essays must be accompanied by the writer's full
name and age, the nominee's name, a contact phone number and an address.
Essays will be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.
