From the
Towne Lake Business
Association
Well it's summertime, and that means quality
time with the family — going on vacations and kids off to summer
camps. We're fortunate that our area has it all. Lake Allatoona with its
beaches and marinas, provides a great way to spend time enjoying watersports,
having picnics or just relaxing. The rolling hills of Cherokee County
offers a variety of hiking and biking trails and the scenery is simply
breathtaking. If you haven't been north of Towne Lake, you don't know
what you're missing — be daring and explore other parts of our beautiful
county, you'll love it!!
Before we know it, it'll be time to get the
kids ready for school again. Before you go venturing into other counties
for school supplies and clothing, why not give your local businesses a
chance first. You'll be amazed with the variety of choices you have right
here in the Towne Lake area. But of course this would mean that you would
have to give up the hassle of traffic, large crowds and time required
to visit other counties.
We will celebrate our nation's independence
on the 4th of July and patriotism continues to abound in the Towne Lake
area. It's also a time for citizens to do their patriotic duty and participate
in the electoral process of our public officials. As part of this process,
the Towne Lake Business Association will be hosting a Candidates Forum
on Tuesday, July 16. This will be a great opportunity for you to check
out the candidates, learn more about issues affecting our community, and
get answers to your questions from these candidates. These candidates
will be empowered by you to help shape our communities' future. If issues
such as schools, future development, health care, taxes or the Northern
Arc are important to you, then you should attend this Forum. Don't just
sit on the sidelines and complain whenever another event occurs or a law
is passed that negatively affects our community. Make your vote count!
It's time to step up and take a stand for what you believe.
"Promotional Products & NetWeaving: Great
Tools for Growing Your Business" was the topic of our June workshop. We
thank Bob Littell of Littell Consulting Services for leading the group
through the workshop.
As always, we thank you for supporting our
local businesses, and thus, our Towne Lake area community, and for "Keeping
Towne Lake Dollars in Cherokee." Have a safe and fun summer.
