The winning team (left to right) was comprised of Bryan Lindsay, Doug Patten, Charles Franklin and Jason Franklin.

Just two days before the big day, the weather was miserable and everyone was wet. But as Thursday morning approached, the skies cleared and the perfect day for golf appeared for the participants in the Towne Lake Business Association's (TLBA) 2nd Annual Golf Tournament. The course at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club was in great shape and provided the ideal setting for the event.

The players took part in a putting contest, closest to the pin challenge and, of course, the overall best team score. At the end of the day, more than $3,000 dollars were raised. Of this amount, $2,000 has been designated to go toward the TLBA Scholarship Fund. $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a graduating senior at both Etowah and Woodstock High Schools in May 2003.

Thank you to all the participants, sponsors and volunteers who made this year's event a resounding success. In particular, the TLBA wishes to give their gratitude to the following sponsors:

Gold Sponsors: Publix at Rose Creek and The TowneLaker.

Silver Sponsors: Atlanta Journal & Constitution, Atlantic States Bank, Centerline Surveying Systems, CENTURY 21 Advantage, Beef 'O' Brady's, El Ranchero, Featherstone's and Towne Lake Hills Golf Club, Gleichman & Debranski, Healthsprout Spine & Wellness, Kauffman Tires, Mr. Handyman, A New You Skin and Body Center, NTC — Mike LaBant, Peachtree Planning Corporation, People Create Success, RBM of Atlanta, SouthBank, Towne Lake Fitness, and The Replogle Firm, P.C.
