The American Cancer
Society's Annual Love Lights a Tree program will be held Friday,
November 22 in Central Park in Downtown Canton. This year's tree will
be dedicated to the memory of Bob Carmichael. The community is asked to
help decorate the tree by making a contribution of $15 or more "in honor
of" or "in memory of" a friend or loved one. The lighting ceremony will
be at 5:30 p.m. There will be entertainment, a visit from Santa Claus,

Santa will be making appearances at
Rose Creek and Woodstock Libraries. First, he will be at
the Woodstock Library for the Festival of Wreaths Gala Celebration on
Tuesday, December 3 from 6 — 8 p.m. On December 10, he will visit
the Rose Creek Library during their "Christmas in Georgia" program.
Join Santa and the City of Woodstock
for the Annual Christmas Jubilee on Saturday, December 7 from 4
— 6:30 p.m. A parade will start the festivities at 4 p.m. in the
Wal-Mart parking lot and head down Main Street ending at Woodstock City
Park. The parade will be followed by caroling, exhibitions from local
dance and choral groups and tree lighting in the Park at 6:30 p.m. Hot
cocoa, mulled cider, and other warm beverages will be available. In conjunction
with the Christmas Jubilee, local merchants will present their "Christmas
Open House." Special shopping hours, special sales and refreshments.

Santa can't
live on cookies alone! Come join Santa at the Cherokee Recreation Center
on Saturday, December 7 for breakfast. Breakfast will be served at
9 a.m., followed by pictures. Parents can choose either a Polaroid picture
or digital photo provided on a 3.5" diskette. The cost will be $3 for
breakfast, $3 for a Polaroid photo and $5 for a digital picture. Advanced

CENTURY 21 Advantage in the Colonnade at
Towne Lake shopping center will sponsor a Santa Safari and Sidewalk
Art Sale on Saturday, November 23. Santa will be making an appearance
in a safari-style jeep along with a "safari" of animal oriented artwork
by local artists, which will be available for purchase. A portion of the
proceeds from the art sale will go to the Cherokee County Animal Shelter.
Santa will be available for pictures with children and/or pets. For more

On Sunday, November 24, Town Center Mall
will host a holiday extravaganza and private sale with Santa. Tickets
to the event are $10, $8 of which goes to the Cherokee County Humane Society.
