to Ritalin Seminar
A free seminar on alternatives to Ritalin
will be offered on Thursday, November 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Woodstock
Public Library. The one-hour seminar is for adults only, and the speaker
will be Lesly Lynch, a local expert on AD/HD and learning difficulties.
American Red Cross
Blood Drive
The American Red Cross will hold a blood
drive on Monday, November 18 from 2 — 7 p.m. at the Cherokee County
Recreation Center. In order to donate blood, you must be at least 17 years
old and weigh more than 110 pounds.
CHAAD Needs Volunteers
The Cherokee/Cobb County and North Atlanta
CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
is seeking parent volunteers/professionals of AD/HD and LD children to

"Chasing the Turkeys" Charity
5k Walk/Run/ Festival
HealthSprout, a local chiropractic clinic,
and Towne Lake Hills East and West will hold a run/walk/family festival
on Saturday, November 2. Proceeds will help support the Cherokee MUST
Ministries goal to provide 2,500 Thanksgiving dinners to needy families
in Cherokee County. The festival will include a 5k run/walk through Towne
Lake Hills East and West beginning at 7:30 a.m. An awards ceremony and
a family festival will follow the run, which starts at 10 a.m. at the

Cherokee Humane Society
Calling all tennis players and animal lovers!
The Cherokee County Humane Society will be holding its Inaugural Tennis
Tournament on Saturday, November 16, starting at 9 a.m. at the Eagle Watch
tennis courts. The tournament will be for Mixed Doubles, Women's Doubles
and Men's doubles. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the Foster
Rescue Program at the Shelter. The cost of the tournament is $30 per player,
which includes registration, a long-sleeved T-shirt and a goody bag. You

The Cherokee County Humane Society will hold
a special election meeting on Tuesday, November 5 at R.T. Jones Library

Fourth Annual Woodstock
Women's Society Gala
The Fourth Annual Woodstock Women's Society
Gala will be held Saturday, November 23 at 7 p.m. The Gala benefits the
"Toys for Tots" program. The optional black-tie event will be held at
the 1904 House in downtown Woodstock. Tickets are $100 per couple, and
