In late October, a
group of 11 girls, several from Towne Lake, decided they needed to do
something special to celebrate a milestone birthday for one of the girls.
There were some prerequisites set for this celebration. There had to be
warm temperatures, sunny skies and blue salty water. There could be no
driving, cooking, ringing phones, television, golf and no husbands or
kids.
After reviewing all of these requirements,
they came up with a great idea: a cruise for four days and four nights
on Carnival Cruise Lines. So they booked their cruise, and off they went
to sail the deep blue seas on a ship appropriately named Imagination.
The girls experienced many wonderful things.
There were limo rides to the airport, cabin upgrades that included king-sized
beds and balconies, and most importantly great weather. Their ports of
call were Key West and Cozumel.
A few of the girls were given a special tour
of the Bridge by the Staff Captain. The girls were pampered with special
deliveries of espresso from the Captain's espresso machine to their cabins.
Most of the girls went on a catamaran cruise while in Mexico and had a
blast. Needless to say, there was lots of fun and sun with no worries.
The girls who just wanted to have fun did
just that! Everyone had a GREAT time; all of their original requirements
were met and all returned back to reality safely. They had so much fun
that they are planning to do another one next year.
