CCHS Holiday
Gala
A Special Night of
Recognition
The Cherokee County Humane Society (CCHS)
recently held an evening of special recognition for many of the sponsors
and volunteers who throughout the year have supported and worked tirelessly
to help the CCHS.

Dr. Tim Byrd opened
his new dental practice in October. Dr. Byrd provides general and cosmetic
dentistry as well as on-premises oral surgery. Tim's wife Marnee Byrd
works along side him. Dr. Byrd is located in the Towne Lake Promenade,

Charities Benefit
from
JSL's Tour of Homes
The Annual Junior Service
League (JSL) Tour of Homes netted more than $34,000 with an attendance
of more than 2,100. Some of the proceeds were divided among four separate
Cherokee County charities. The proposed Cherokee County Children's Emergency
Shelter project was presented with a check for $8,000. Checks were also
given to The Anna Crawford Children's Center in the amount of $5,000.
Bethany Place and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Reserve Christmas Joy
program each received checks in the amount of $3,000.
Restora Plastic
Surgery Center Opens
in Towne Lake
Restora Plastic Surgery
Center recently opened for business. According to Dr. Julian Gordon, Restora
is the first plastic surgery office based in Cherokee County. Restora
specializes in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery. For

Animal Shelter
Grand Opening
The new Cherokee County
Animal Shelter, located at 131 Chattin Drive in Canton, recently held
their Grand Opening for their new building. The new shelter houses 72
dog runs, separate adoption rooms for cats and dogs and puppies and kittens,

The Cherokee Eagle's
Chapter of the American Businesswomen's Association (ABWA) participated
in the Night of Giving held at Town Center Mall. For the price of a $10
ticket, shoppers got to shop for the holidays minus the holiday crowds.
Merchants offered additional discounts. From each of the tickets the ABWA
sold, $2 went to the Simon Youth Foundation, and $8 went to the Cherokee
Eagle's Scholarship Fund.

TLBA Holiday Gala
The Towne Lake Business Association recently
hosted their annual Holiday Gala at the Towne Lake Hills East clubhouse.
This year's Gala was was catered by Publix at Rose Creek, who provided
an assortment of hors d'oeuvres and beverages enjoyed by all. A variety
of children's toys were donated by the attendees to the Cherokee County
Sheriff's Reserve Unit's "Christmas Joy Program." The TLBA would like
to thank Lonnie Peplau and his staff at Publix for fully catering the
Gala.
