Everyday Angels
Happy New Year!
We hope that you weren't so busy decorating,
preparing food, practicing music and cleaning in preparation for the activities
of the Holidays that you didn't miss its true meaning. Hurt feelings,
impatience, anger — the list of clouds that busyness creates to
blind us during the holiday season can be long. It has been told that
the devil is always the most active during the Holiday Season! We hope
that now you can take time, slow down, be still and be awake to your many
blessings with the proper perspectives as you begin this New Year!
Everyday Angels has had a busy holiday season.
We received numerous calls from families and friends who were less concerned
about opening gifts but were busy worrying about staying in their homes
another month. We compiled a gift list for children and were fortunate
to receive assistance from local organizations and individuals that allowed
children to have presents under the tree that otherwise would have had
nothing. Additionally, we were able to help several different families
with their financial needs before their homes were taken away.
Everyday Angels is small with limited resources
and consequently have had to turn folks away. We know that times are tough
and sometimes it takes your own struggles and tough experiences in order
to have the compassion necessary to give. We have a long list of families
that we cannot help — not without your help. If you would like to
contribute, please contact us today.
Everyday Angels is a non-profit organization
that provides short-term funding (currently
up to a maximum of $300 per month) to those in our community in need.
If you know someone in need or would like to contribute, please call (770)
517-8210 ext. 580.
