Adventures Express Spring
Day Camp

At a loss for what to do with the kids during Spring Break? The Recreation Center will offer a day camp filled with arts and crafts, games, movies, outdoor play and two field trips. The camp will run from April 7 - 11, and the deadline to sign up is April 1. The camp is for ages 6 - 12, and the cost is $95 per child for the week.

American Red Cross
Blood Drive

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at the Recreation Center on Monday, March 10 from 2 - 7 p.m. To donate blood, you must be 17 or older and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Babes and Brides Card Rubberstamp Workshop

This workshop will be held Wednesday, March 5 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The students will make 10 cards, and the cost is $10, which includes all supplies.

Fencing Fun

Interested in trying something new and fun? The Recreation Center will offer fencing classes every Wednesday, March 5 through April 9 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. The class is for ages 11 and older, and the cost is $100.

Indoor Yard Sale

The Recreation Center and staff will hold their annual indoor yard sale on March 20 and 21 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more information, please call Susan Meals at (770) 924-7768.

Music For the Younger Generation

Open the world of music for your child. This class is designed to nurture a child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. It will be held every Wednesday, March 26 through May 14 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. for ages birth through four years. The cost is $135 and $75 for each additional sibling over 8 months old. Children 8 months and younger attend free with a registered sibling.

Sign Language Class for Beginners

This class is designed for anyone who wishes to learn sign language. Classes will be held each Tuesday, March 4 through April 8, and the cost is $50.

Start Smart Soccer for children ages 3 - 6 is just one of the many programs offered at the CRPA Recreation Center. The Recreation Center is located at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (770) 924-7768.

Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites, and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting of the Silver Roamers will be held Monday, March 3 at 11 a.m. at the

Recreation Center. Membership is only $20 per year, which allows you many benefits including discounts on events and trips. If you are interested in joining, simply stop by the Recreation Center and apply. For further information, contact Betsy Allgood at (770) 924-7768.

On Wednesday, March 12, join the Silver Roamers for a trip to President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Little White House in Warm Springs, GA. The tour will be followed by a buffet lunch at the Bulloch House. The group will depart from the Recreation Center at 8 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $22 for members and $25 for non-members and includes transportation, tour and lunch.

Join the group for fun and fellowship on Monday, March 17 for a special St. Patrick's Day Bingo. The game will begin at 2 p.m. and the cost is $5 which includes a bingo card and light snacks.

Join the Silver Roamers as they travel to Charleston, SC on March 24 - 27. The trip will include visiting Charleston's old mansions, the French Quarters, Rainbow Row, the slave market, Fort Sumter and more. Special dining will be at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory and the Charleston Crab House. The cost is $340 for members and $350 for non-members for a shared room. For a single room, the cost is $440 for members and $450 for non-members. Payment is due in full by March 3. A sign up sheet has already been started. This introductory class is for children ages 3 - 6. Koosh equipment is used, and parents will work one-on-one with their children. The sessions will run Wednesdays, March 12 through April 2, and the cost is $25.
