Adult Summer Softball Leagues

Registration for this summer league runs June 9 - 27 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Recreation Center. Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights beginning on July 7 at Hobgood Park, and the cost is $440 per team. Adventures Express
Summer Day Camp

This camp will run through August 8. The campers will enjoy fun filled days of games, arts and crafts, field trips, movies and special events. The cost is $20 registration fee, plus $95 per week, and siblings are $91 per week. The camp is for children ages six - twelve.

Aerobic Classes

Aerobic classes are held each day at the Center. Classes can include step aerobics, low-impact aerobics, and toning. The cost is $28 per month, $25 per month for Seniors and $5 per class for drop ins.

Beginning Sign Language

This course will focus on the basic conversational skills needed to communicate with people who are deaf. The class will be every Tuesday, June 17 - July 22 from 7 - 9 p.m. A portion of each class is devoted to addressing the specific needs or interests of individual students.

Elite Basketball Camp

High school coaches and college players will run this camp. There will be individual stations for fundamental skills and team games. The dates are June 9 - 13, June 23 - 27 and July 7 - 11, and the camp is for girls and boys 4th through 9th grades. Fencing Fun

This class will teach the basics of competitive fencing including equipment, technique and safety. The class is for ages 11 and older and will be held every Wednesday, June 18 through August 6. Beginner classes are from 5 - 6 p.m. and intermediate classes are from 6 - 7 p.m. The cost is $125.

Gymnastics Birthday Parties

The CRPA offers birthday parties for

Smart Start Soccer for children ages 3 - 6 is just one of the many programs offered at the CRPA Recreation Center. The CRPA Recreation Center is located at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (770) 924-7768.

ages four and above. The party includes a gymnastic instructor, use of the gym, a private party room, music and more. The cost is $85 for up to 10 children and $5 for each additional child. The party room is available for two hours, and additional time is available for $10 per half hour.

Music Together

This class's goal is to nurture children's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. The group will meet every Wednesday, June 18 through July 23 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. or 11 - 11:45 a.m. The class is for ages birth through four, and the cost is $120, and $55 for each additional sibling over 8 months old. Children 8 months old and younger attend free with a registered sibling.

Tang Soo Do

This form of martial arts is for everyone, children, teens and adults. The first class is free! Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays and are ongoing. The times are 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. or 7:45 - 8:45 p.m. The ages for this class are six and older. For additional information, please call Don or Paula Remick at (770) 517-2958.

Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites, and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting is June 2 at 11 a.m. at the Recreation Center. Membership is only $20 per year, which allows you many benefits including discounts on events and trips. If you are interested in joining, simply stop by the Recreation Center and apply.

On Thursday, June 19, join the Silver Roamers as they head to Vines Botanical Gardens for a home cooked meal at Journey's End Restaurant. Afterwards the group will stroll through 23 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The bus will leave the Recreation Center at 9:45 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center at 10:15 a.m. The cost is $22 for members and $25 for non-members, which includes transportation, lunch and garden admission.
