Afternoon Bingo

Get out of the heat and enjoy an afternoon of bingo and lemonade on Thursday, July 10. Light snacks will be available. The cost is $5 and the games will start at 2 p.m at the Center.

Aerobics

Classes include step aerobics, low-impact and toning. Class format varies with each instructor. The cost is $28 per month, $25 per month for Seniors or $5 per drop-in.

Baton Camp

Twirltime Baton Camp is offered July 9 - 12 from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. It is for ages four and older, and the cost is $100. The 4-day camp teaches the girls challenging baton twirling tricks in hopes of achieving a place on baton twirl teams or solo positions at major universities. Hip Hop/Dance Team Camp

This class is offered July 14 - 17 from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. This is a fast moving and fun class where students will learn dance moves to popular music. The class is for both boys and girls, ages K - 12. For more information, please call Terri Roland at (678) 494-4000.

Lamaze Childbirth Classes

Lamaze childbirth classes are offered every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The cost is $90 and $5 for the class handbook. For more information or to register, please call Emily Ramirez at (770) 924-9248 or email emilyramirez@mindspring.com.

Gymnastic Birthday Parties

The CRPA offers birthday parties for ages four and above. The party includes a gymnastic instructor, use of the gym, a private party room, music and more.

Start Smart Baseball

This introductory program for children ages 3 - 6 prepares them for organized baseball in a fun, non-threatening environment. The session is on each Tuesday, July 15 through August 19 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. The cost is $65.

Pee Wee Tennis

This program is for children ages 4 - 8 and is taught in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. The classes will be held each Wednesday, July 9 - 30 with a variety of times available. The cost is $25.

In-line roller hockey is one of the many programs offered at the CRPA Recreation Center. The CRPA Recreation Center is located at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (770) 924-7768.

Pom Pom Dance Camp

Twirltime will offer a Pom Pom Dance Camp July 14 - 17 for ages 6 - 17. The camp will be from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. Students are divided into different levels according to grade and/or level. Summer Recreation
Soccer Camp

This camp will be taught by professional European coaches from July 21 - 25 from 8 - 11:30 a.m. It is for ages 5 - 14, beginner and intermediate. The cost is $100 by July 9 and $125 after July 9.

Summer Tennis Camps

These junior camps are for ages 5 - 18 and for all levels. The camps will be July 7 - 11 or July 21 - 25 from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. The cost is $165 and includes drinks, snacks and t-shirts. For more information, please call Gary Johnson at (706) 268-1465 or gjtennisacademy@earthlink.net.

Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites, and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting is Monday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House on Highway 92. Membership is only $20 per year, which allows you many benefits including discounts on events and trips. If you are interested in joining, simply stop by the Recreation Center and apply.

Join the group on Wednesday, July 23 for a trip to Unclaimed Baggage, in Scottsboro, AL and see what treasures can be found. From art and rugs, to clothing and toys, everyone is bound to come home with something. The day will include lunch at the Liberty Restaurant before shopping. The cost is $13 for members and $15 for non-members, which includes lunch and transportation. The group will leave the Recreation Center at 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. from the Canton Senior Center.
