The
TowneLaker's
2003
Grandparents
of the Year
Virginia
and Cliff Flud
My grandparents have
to be not only the best grandparents, but also the best people. My grandmother
and grandfather took my mother, brother and me in when we had no place
to go. My father was abusive and we had no other choice than to leave.
Starting from the very beginning is hard but starting over when sick is
even harder. After raising their kids they had to raise my brother and
I. My mother is now disabled and my grandparents though should be retired
still rise at dawn and work to help support our loving family. I am not
only informing you of this because I love them, but also because they
deserve this award more than ever. They would do anything for anyone and
everyone. They have taught me to live life to the fullest and to never
look back on the past because the past only makes us stronger and better
people. If there were anything in the world that I could do for the greatest
grandparents in the world, it would be to win them that very award, the
GREATEST grandparents in the world!
