From the

Towne Lake Business Association

September is here!! Does it feel like fall? The weather may not feel like fall yet, but the kids being back in school and Friday night football games make me welcome this season of the year. Fall seems to get us all back into our routine and bring back some normalcy from our hectic summer schedules.

September is sure to be a fun month for the TLBA. In addition to the variety of fall events around Towne Lake, our 3rd Annual TLBA Golf Tournament will be held on September 25 at the Eagle Watch Golf Club. It will be a great opportunity to have fun, meet local business owners, and support the TLBA Entrepreneurial Spirit Scholarship Fund, benefiting seniors at our local high schools. Whether you're a local business looking to start new relationships or just want to play, you can enjoy a fun day of golf while helping with a worthy cause.

For the golfers, the day will include greens and cart fees, range balls, sack lunch, door prizes, a great sports memorabilia auction and a tasty buffet dinner at the conclusion of play. Now that's a deal! You can contact Joe Gandolfo at (678) 640-0000 if you would like to play. If you would like to help out as a sponsor, please contact Jeff Hamm at (770) 912-7936 or Don Kyle at (770) 516-7105. There is also an opportunity for you to volunteer your time by helping on the day of the event; simply call (770) 517-8210 ext. 551 to sign up. See pages 14 and 45 for more details.

The topic of our June workshop was "Liability Coverage for the Small Business" We want to thank Kimberly Smith of Sidney O. Smith, Inc. for leading the workshop.

As we move into September, let us never forget the tragic events of 9/11, remembering those who lost their lives. May God Bless America, our great country which we are so fortunate to call home.

As always, we thank you for supporting our local businesses, and thus, our Towne Lake area community, and for "Keeping Towne Lake Dollars in Cherokee."
