From the
Towne Lake Business
Association
The leader of this month's Lunch 'N' Learn
Workshop was Joe Gandolfo of Gandolfo Enterprises, Inc. His topic affected
me profoundly. Rather than addressing ordinary business issues, Joe focused
on the "balance" between business and family. Those business owners out
there know exactly what I'm talking about. As we work long hours and then
take our work home with us, we realize there really is not a release or
a way of letting it go for just a few hours!
My point is this - remember to call a timeout
as you are working away at your career, so that you won't wake up one
day and realize that your kids are grown and you are left wondering what
happened. Get a balance, create a good team that you can lead, and empower
them to help your business grow, as if it were their own. Step aside,
encourage, coach, and develop a winning attitude. Two things will happen.
First of all, you will become a better parent and spouse, and second you
just might even grow your business with some fresh ideas.
Speaking of winning, congratulations to the
Woodstock High School varsity football team for breaking their long losing
streak. I know it feels great. Build on it, believe in yourself and your
teammates. Businesses can certainly learn from this example by trusting
your team and mentally preparing for victory even in times of adversity.
At the time of this writing, we are just
a few days from our 3rd Annual TLBA Golf Tournament benefiting our Entrepreneurial
Scholarship Fund. I would like to thank our sponsors, players and volunteers
for their continuing support. I will give you an update in next month's
column.
As always, we thank you for supporting our
local businesses, and thus, our Towne Lake area community, and for "Keeping
Towne Lake Dollars in Cherokee."

Jim Allan and
Starr Rowland of the
Sauna Care Center
Sauna Care Center, Inc. has been at its location
on Towne Lake Parkway since January 2003. Sauna Care Center offers the
latest technology in harmless Radiant Heat Saunas. The Center is owned
by Starr Rowland and Jim Allan.
Radiant Heat Infrared Saunas utilize the
age-old process of heating the body to promote better health. These saunas
use the latest in ceramic infrared heaters to generate a harmless heat
that penetrates the body tissues 1 to 1½ inches deep. Because these heaters
warm the body instead of the air around the body, they are three times
more effective and much more comfortable than conventional saunas. Infrared
Saunas help your body to naturally remove toxins, relieve pain, ease stress,
burn large amounts of calories and many more benefits.
The Sauna Care Center offers two options
to its customers. The first option allows customers to purchase a session
in one of their units. Sessions are offered in clean, private rooms that
contain the sauna unit, a dressing area, and a sink with filtered water.
Each unit is sanitized between uses. Clean towels are provided.
The second option lets customers "try it
before you buy it!" This concept ensures customers will be satisfied with
their purchase. There are several models, sizes, and wood types to choose
from and local installation is available.
In addition to sauna services, professional
massage therapy is also available at the Sauna Care Center.
Starr and Jim are both residents of Cherokee
County. Starr has several years of medical and management experience,
and Jim has several years experience in medical sales and management.
Sauna Care Center is located at 160 Towne
Lake Parkway. For more information call 770-592-8883 or 770-235-9954.
You can also visit them at www.saunacarecenter.com.
