The 1904 House
by Cherryl Greenman

The 1904 House restaurant is unique and inviting. If you are looking for a place to dine after church on Sunday or maybe perhaps you enjoy reading the Sunday paper and then realize you are hungry, well the 1904 House is ready and waiting for you.

Their Sunday brunch has everything to offer from breakfast to dinner. They offer a special Eggs Benedict that you will not soon forget, as well as scrambled eggs and flaky biscuits. If you are ready for dinner rather than breakfast, The 1904 House has the best fried chicken and roast beef you can find anywhere in Woodstock. A special Cajun seafood melt of shrimp and crab was also featured. If you like pork chops then you must try their "Peach and Bourbon" pork chops.

Mike and Tara Bellows bought The 1904 House on October 1 of 2002. Mike not only manages the restaurant with Tara but he is the chef. The couple moved here from Key West, Florida where they had a similar restaurant.

The 1904 House features live Jazz on Friday nights and a live Blues band on Saturdays. They serve both beer and wine and a wide variety of special desserts to tempt every craving, particularly flavorful and moist is their 1904 Signature Cake.

The 1904 House is also available for special parties and weddings and the Bellows will open both the large dining room and a smaller room for every kind of event imaginable. You are welcome to come and decorate the facility.

They also will cater your party. Mike said there are some dates still available for the holidays, but they are going fast.
