Aerobics Classes
The Recreation Center offers a variety of
aerobics classes including step, low-impact and toning. Class format varies
with each instructor. The cost is $28 per month and $25 for Seniors. Drop
in classes are $5 each and childcare is available for a nominal fee during
the 9:30 a.m. classes only.
Breakfast and Pictures with Santa
Kids can have breakfast with Santa on Saturday,
December 6 from 9 - 11 a.m. And parents can have great pictures of the
event. The cost is $3 per person for breakfast and the picture with Santa
is $3 for a Polaroid or $5 for a digital photo provided on a 3.5" diskette.
Registration is required, so drop by the Center to pre-register.
Fencing Club
This monthly program is designed for the
intermediate and advanced fencer. It will meet monthly on each Wednesday
beginning December 3 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. The club is for ages 11 and older,
and the cost is $60 per month.
Tang Soo Do
This form of martial arts is for all children,
teens and adults. The class meets each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from
6:30 - 7:30 p.m. or from 7:45 - 8:45 p.m. The class is for ages six and
older. The cost is $45 for two or three days per week or monthly, and

Winter Break Day Camp
Due to limited participant numbers, Winter
Break Day Camp was not held in 2001 or 2002. If you are interested in
attending a Winter Camp on December 22, 23, 29, 30, 31 and January 2 for
$100, please call Neely Hand at (770) 924-7768 or email nhand@crpa.net.
A camp will be held if there are enough participants.
Silver Roamers
If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites,
and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet
monthly to discuss upcoming events. Winter meetings will be Monday, December
1 at the Recreation Center and Monday, January 5 at

Hopeful Hoops is
a program for special needs kids - one of the many programs offered at
the CRPA Recreation Center. The Recreation Center is located at 7545 Main
Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (770) 924-7768.
O'Charley's on Highway 92. Membership is
only $20 per year, which allows you many benefits including discounts
on events and trips. If you are interested in joining, simply stop by
the Center and apply.
The Silver Roamers will have their Annual
Christmas Party on Monday, December 15 starting at 12 noon. There
will be a delicious meal, gift exchange, bingo and the company of friends.
Please bring a wrapped gift valued at around $5. Lunch will be prepared
by Hamilton Catering. The cost is $18 and includes lunch, bingo and holiday
snacks.
Join the group for a 1950's-style Christmas
Musical, Taffeta Christmas, on Thursday, December 18. There
is limited space, so register early. The deadline to register is December
8. The cost is $15 for members and $17 for non-members. Transportation
will leave the Recreation Center at 10:45 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center
at 11:15 a.m.
The Silver Roamers will be heading to Pearl
River Resort in Choctaw, Mississippi, January 27 - 29. They will be
staying at the newest addition to the Pearl River Resort, the Golden Moon.
You can play the slots, relax, catch a show, try out one of the eleven
restaurants, show, or even pamper yourself at the Spa. The cost of this
trip for a single is $200 for members and $220 for non-members. A double
is $160 for members and $180 for non-members. The full payment is due
January 5. The cost includes two nights stay, two buffet breakfasts, one
lunch, two dinners, and transportation (CRPA vans).
Join the Roamers as they head to St. Augustine,
Florida, the Nation's Oldest City, April 25 - 29. The trip
will include site seeing, shopping and more. The hotel is located within
walking distance to most of the historical sites, including Old St. Augustine
Village, the Fountain of Youth, San Sebastian Winery, and St. Augustine
Lighthouse, as well as churches, museums and homes. The cost for a single
room is $440 for members and $460 for non-members. For a double room,
the cost is $340 for members and $360 for non-members. A $100 deposit
is due by January 5 with the final payment due by March 29.
