From the
Towne Lake Business
Association
Happy Holidays to all of you and your families
from all of us at the Towne Lake Business Association (TLBA). December
wraps up another year and brings renewed optimism for the new year.
Many people I spoke with this year were trying
to recover from falls within their personal financial portfolios and were
cautious about spending. This made it tough on many businesses who struggled
this year. However, I feel it has made us all more conscious of our customers'
needs. We focused on serving them better by going the extra mile, educating
them on the difference between value and price, and training our staff
to meet their needs. These are the principles the TLBA strives to achieve
through our monthly "Lunch 'N' Learn" workshops. As a result, I feel we
have all become better businesses.
The topic of our November workshop was "Tax
Planning for the Small Businesses" We want to thank Samantha Maxwell,
CPA, of Post & Associates, LLC for leading the workshop.
We will host a Holiday Gala at the Golden
Cafe Chinese Restaurant in lieu of our Lunch 'N' Learn Workshop in December.
All members and those interested in the TLBA are invited to attend and
join in our celebration.
As always, we thank you for supporting our
local businesses - particularly during the Holiday Season - and thus,
our Towne Lake area community, and for "Keeping Towne Lake Dollars
in Cherokee."
Finally, we want to thank all our military
personnel, particularly those in our own community, without whom we would
not be able count our blessings this Holiday Season. We are fortunate
to live in such a great country - we are truly blessed. And as we tackle
the stressful shopping days ahead, don't lose focus. It's really all about
the people you care for and just how much they mean to you.
