Hey Kids!

I sure hope you all enjoyed the holidays, I sure did. I got to play with all my Christmas toys and have all my friends over since we didn't have to get up and go to school the next morning. It was great!

I have a special treat for you this month. Ally and Andrew Kuntz submitted a wonderful poem and fantastic information about Dolphins. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did. And please if you have your own special poem or story submit them to me, and I will try to get them published here on this page - don't forget this is our special page to print things that are important to us!

Send your stories and pictures to: Donald Kyle, The TowneLaker Magazine, 1025 Rose Creek Drive, Suite 340, Woodstock, GA 30189. Or email me at donald@townelaker.com.

Many Different Shells
in the Sea

by Andrew Kuntz
8 years old

Many shells are in the sea, over one million and three.
How did they all get there? Nobody knows. . .
very shell has its own way of expressing itself every day.
All the shells have different shapes.
If they have hermit crabs in them they could escape.
If you find a shell you can put it in a pail.
I like shells because there are many different kinds.
All colors. Almost a billion and twenty five.

The Dolphin is My Favorite Mammal

by Ally Kuntz
6 years old

The Dolphin is my favorite mammal. It is called the Bottle-nose Dolphin. I like them because they are so smart and the most gentle creature in the sea. Dolphins use echo-location to talk to each other. Dolphins make me feel so calm.
