Adult Beading for Beginners

These classes will introduce basic bead stringing for ages 16 and older. The class will be held every Thursday beginning April 15 through May 27 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The cost is $80, plus $90 for materials. For more information, please call Diane Kovach at (404) 314-3615.

Adventures Express Spring
Break Day Camp

The Recreation Center will offer Spring Break day camp beginning on Monday, April 5 through Friday, April 9 for ages 6 - 12. Participants will enjoy gym games, outside play, movies, arts/crafts and three field trips. The cost is $95 and pre-registration is required. Drop off time will be from 7 - 9 a.m., and pick up time will be from 4 - 6 p.m.

Music Together

Music Together is a music program for ages birth through four. The goal is to nurture the children's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. The class will be held every Wednesday, April 7 through May 26 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. The cost is $145. Children eight months old and younger attend free with a registered sibling. Each additional sibling over eight months is $75.

Pitching Machine Baseball

Registration for Pitching Machine Baseball will be held on April 19 - May 21. The season begins May 25. Pitching Machine Baseball is for children ages seven years old and no older than eight on June 1, 2004. Game times will be 6 and 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $85 for the season. Start Smart Basketball

Smart Start Basketball is a developmentally appropriate, introductory program for children age three through six. Parents will work one-on-one with their child practicing a variety of basketball skills. The program will be held every Thursday beginning April 1 through May 6, from 3 - 6 p.m. The cost is $65 and includes a T-shirt, one mini basketball, one soft bounce basketball, four cones, one jersey and a Start Smart basketball manual.

Tiny Mite Summer T-Ball

Registration for Tiny Mite Summer T-Ball will be held on April 19 - May 21. The season begins May 25. Tiny Mite is for children at least five years old and no older than six on June 1, 2004. Game times will be at 6 and 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the cost is $70. Volunteer coaches are needed. Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites, and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting will be held on April 5, at the Recreation Center at 11 a.m. Membership is only $20 per year, which allows you many benefits including discounts on events and trips. If you are interested in joining, simply stop by the Center and apply.

The Silver Roamers will head to the Theatre in the Square to see A Raisin in the Sun on Wednesday, April 7. The cost is $22 for members and $24 for non-members, which includes transportation and ticket. The group will stop for lunch at Sweet Tomatoes before the play. The bus will leave the Recreation Center at 11:30 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center at 12 noon.

Bring a friend and join the group for lunch and a movie on Thursday, April 15. The group will decide as a whole where to go at the April 5 meeting at the Recreation Center. Transportation will leave the Recreation Center at 11:15 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center at 11:45 a.m. The cost will be $3 for members and $5 for non-members, which includes transportation only.
