Junior Service League Says"Yes, There Is
Christmas in July."

It may be the dog days of summer, but the Junior Service League of Woodstock (JSL) is thinking red and green. The organization is preparing for the 8th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes, which will be held November 13 and 14. The yearly fundraiser not only gives patrons plenty of decorating ideas, but also supports the children and the less fortunate in Cherokee County. Last year, the Tour raised more than $35,000 and the JSL hopes to do even better this year. The Tour will feature five beautiful homes in the Towne Lake and BridgeMill communities.

The JSL is a non-profit women's volunteer organization serving Woodstock and Cherokee County. Other fundraising activities for the JSL include Home Court Advantage Cookbook, Spring Gala and Penny Harvest. For more information on the JSL or any of the mentioned projects, please call (770) 592-3535.

Tiny Tots Playground

Tiny Tots located at the Plaza at Towne Lake next to Mellow Mushroom, recently welcomed a new addition to its day care facility - a new playground. What makes this playground so special is that it was created solely through the financial contributions of several families and donations from several businesses. The site for the playground, in the back of the facility, first had to be cleared of trees and leveled. Five Star Fencing donated fencing, and volunteers constructed the play area. According to Tiny Tots owner, Maria Marucci, the project cost approximately $7,000.
