Boys and Girls Club Roast

The Annual Cherokee County Boys and Girls Club Roast will be held on Thursday, October 7 at the Canton Theater. The event will roast Judge Marion T. Chasing the Turkeys
Walk/Run Festival

HealthSprout, in conjunction with Harry Norman Realtors, The Barter Company, O'Brien Productions and Towne Lake Hills will host the 3rd Annual Chasing the Turkeys 5K run/walk. The event will be held on Saturday, November 6 with proceeds benefiting MUST Ministries Thanksgiving meal program. The event will include a 5K run/walk followed by a festival at the Towne Lake Hills East playground. The cost of the festival is $5 (adults are free). Golf Tournament

On October 15, the Cherokee Knights Soccer club will hold its first annual golf tournament at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. Farmer's Market Coming
to Woodstock

The Woodstock Downtown Development Authority is currently taking applications for the Old Towne Farmer's Market, which will be held once a month in downtown Woodstock. Appropriate licensing from the Georgia State Department of Agriculture must be obtained in order to participate. Golf Tournament

The Kiwanis Club of Woodstock will hold its first Annual For the Kids Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 20 at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. The event will begin at noon with a shotgun start followed by a grill in/out at Featherstone's at Towne Lake. Individual, Team, Tee/Hole Sponsor and Corporate Sponsor fees are available. Garage Sales

Eagle Watch will hold a community garage sale on Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Arbors will hold a community garage sale on Friday and Saturday, October 15 and 16 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Lutheran Services of Georgia
Golf Outing

The Lutheran Services of Georgia will host its Annual Golf Outing on Monday, October 11 at Bradshaw Farms. The format is a four person Lauderdale with all four players hitting from the best position after each shot. The registration fee is $115 per player and includes breakfast, lunch, greens fees and golf cart. There will be prizes and awards. Native American Festival

The second Annual Native American Festival will be held on Saturday, October 23. The event will be from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Woodstock City Park and will feature native arts and crafts, food and demonstrations. Admission is free. Cell Phones for Soldiers

J.D.'s Bar-B-Que located at 6557 Bells Ferry Road, is the newest drop point for Cell Phones for Soldiers. Cell Phones for Soldiers raises money to help soldiers stationed overseas make phone calls home. Donations of used or old cell phones, calling cards and monetary donations are appreciated. Saddle Up for St. Jude

Falcon Ridge Stables in Woodstock will be hosting a charity event on October 23 called Saddle Up for St. Jude. The event is designed to allow equine enthusiasts to gather to ride a 5 mile trail or compete in jumps offs, and other equine events to earn money from their sponsors. The event will include a silent auction and raffles. The festival is open to the public for a $2 donation per person. All proceeds will benefit children and families of St. Jude's Hospital.
