Everday Angels
Everyday Angels' initial
focus, since our inception, has been to simply provide short-term assistance
to those in our community who find themselves in times of need while also
hoping to inspire our readers to make a difference as well. However, during
this past month, YOU have greatly inspired US! Everyday
Angels received generous donations from generous families who shared our
concern for October's featured family. Consequently, you have allowed
us to continue to work with this family to help them overcome their recent
tragedy and move forward with their lives. We were overwhelmed by your
response, and needless to say, the recipients of your generosity are overjoyed
and relieved! Thank you again Towne Lake and BridgeMill for taking
time to care.
For the month of November,
we received many calls, which isn't unusual now that the holidays are
quickly approaching. We recently learned of a husband and his family of
four young children who for the past two years have been struggling to
make ends meet after an on-the-job injury has left him temporarily disabled.
He is receiving some compensation, but his attorneys are in their second
year of trying to obtain disability. He and his wife struggle daily to
raise their children on a limited income and an uncertain future. Everyday
Angels will assist them with some of their utility costs to help them
get caught up before the winter months arrive.
In addition to helping
this family, we also will help a young single mom who suddenly finds that
her recent increase in daycare has caused her to get behind in meeting
her monthly obligations. We will assist her in getting caught up before
the holidays as well. We pray that each of these families will have the
strength and peace for her children during these insecure times. As many
of us have learned, it is during the most challenging and difficult times
that our inner strength and character is tested. May God's love live through
us as we encourage and support these families this month.
Everyday Angels wishes
everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving holiday!
Everyday Angels is a non-profit organization
that provides short-term funding (currently up to a maximum of $425 per
month) to those in our community in need. If you know someone in need
or would like to contribute, please call (770) 517-8210 ext. 580.
