Woodstock
Makes Publishing Debut
Around
Woodstock, a franchise of Around Town Community Magazine, Inc., recently
debuted its inaugural issue. The magazine is owned by Tracy and Herb Sims
and Cherryl Greenman. This trio has an extensive business background.
Herb and his wife, Tracy owned a nursery early in their marriage. After
the nursery, Herb went into the restaurant business and became an operating
partner with a restaurant group, which owns Arby's and Del Taco as well
as others. He then operated a family business in Cherokee County. Upon
retiring from this family business, Herb went into the ministry and is
the pastor of Grace Life Church. Tracy has been an air traffic controller
for the past 16 years, and Cherryl is the former editor of The TowneLaker
and Sixes Living Magazine. Cherryl also has more than 28 years
experience in the publishing industry.
Herb
describes the partnership as the perfect combination of his business background,
Tracy's administrative skills and Cherryl's editorial experience. "This
is a once in a lifetime opportunity where everything came together perfectly,"
he said. Cherryl concurred and said, "This franchise opportunity has allowed
me to branch out, and I look forward to working with Herb and Tracy."
Around
Woodstock is distributed to more than 11,000 households and businesses
in the Woodstock area. To advertise or for more information on Around
Woodstock, please call Cherryl Greenman at (770) 924-3131.
Around
Woodstock is Around Town Community Magazine's second non-company owned
franchise. The first, Around Canton debuted in 2003. Franchise
opportunities are still available in Acworth, Roswell, Alpharetta, Cobb
County, Gwinnett County and many other areas. For those who have ever
thought of owning their own business, this could be the perfect opportunity.

With
an Around Town Community Magazine franchise, an individual can publish
a free, monthly community magazine, which provides local residents, business
owners and newcomers with valuable and interesting community information.
It's an ideal opportunity to become involved and become a leader in your
community. The information shared in the magazines also helps to strengthen
and builds a sense of community.
According
to Gina Carr, Founder of The TowneLaker, Sixes Living and
Around Town Community Magazines, "This is a great opportunity for someone
who has either a sales or writing background." She also mentioned that
it is the perfect opportunity for someone who already spends a lot of
money on advertising, such as a real estate firm, insurance agency or
mortgage company. The magazines provide the ideal advertising vehicle.
She further pointed out that it's a great opportunity for those who have
experienced or will experience downsizing.
Owning
an Around Town Community Magazine franchise is easier than most think.
The cost is a lot less than most other franchise opportunities - less
than $50,000 for the initial start-up phase, including franchise fee,
software, equipment, training and support. It's a business that can be
started from home initially and requires only one or two employees to
run.
