Spelling Bee
As
a celebration of National Children's Book Week, WellStar Health Systems
in conjunction with the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce will present their
first-ever Adult Spelling Bee to help raise money for children's books
for the Sequoyah Regional Library System. The Bee will take place at the
Cherokee High School Auditorium on November 15 at 7 p.m. and tickets will

Annual
Holiday Bazaar
Etz
Aviv Hadassah will hold a Holiday Bazaar on Sunday, November 14 from 10
a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bazaar will be at the Mt. View Community Center, 3400
Sandy Plain Road in Marietta. There will be hand-crafted jewelry, women's
and children's apparel, discovery toys, holiday decorations, homemade
soaps and much more. Proceeds will benefit the Hadassah's Youth Aliya

Holiday Craft Show
Hillside
United Methodist Church's 10th Annual Holiday Craft Show will be held
on Friday and Saturday, November 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There
will be plenty of holiday gifts and gift baskets, home décor, jewelry,
children's items, and floral arrangements to choose from. Be sure to stop
by the Café and enjoy breakfast and lunch before or after you shop.
Celtic
Christmas Concert at
Cherokee Arts Center
The
Cherokee County Arts Center welcomes in the holiday season with a Celtic
Christmas Concert featuring the Buddy O'Reilly Band. The band consists
of seven members from the Atlanta/Athens, Georgia area. The concert will
be held on Friday, December 2 at 8 p.m. Tickets are general admission
children $13, members $14, non-members $16 and $18 at the door.

Cherokee County Arts Center is taking applications for VITA (Volunteers
In The Arts). VITA members are involved with exhibition and concert receptions,
ushering, decorating the Arts Center, and a wide variety of other areas.

Trot 5K and Fun Run
A
Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run will be held on November 20, and Santa Paws
- Continental Breakfast and Photos with Santa will be held on December
11. All of proceeds from these events will benefit the Dining for Pets
programs at the Cherokee County Humane Society to help offset the cost
of the spaying/neutering of shelter animals prior to adoption. Both of
