Breakfast and Pictures with Santa

On Saturday December 4 at 9 a.m., your child will have the opportunity to have breakfast with jolly old Saint Nick. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. at the Recreation Center. Pictures will immediately follow. Parents can choose a Polaroid picture for $3 or a digital picture on floppy disk for $5. Advanced registration is required and tickets will be sent in the mail. Parents are required to purchase one CRPA photo if they wish to take a picture with their own camera. The cost for the breakfast is $3 per person.

Letters from Santa

If you want your child to receive a special letter from Santa, drop off your child's letter at the Recreation Center along with $2 for each letter. Letters will be accepted at the Recreation Center from December 1 through 17. Santa will personally reply to each letter and mail it back from the North Pole.

Lunch with the Grinch

On Saturday December 18 at 12 noon, your child will have the opportunity to have lunch with the Grinch. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m., and the pictures will immediately follow. Parents can choose a Polaroid picture for $3 or a digital picture on floppy disk for $5. Advanced registration is required and tickets will be sent in the mail. Parents are required to purchase one CRPA photo if they wish to take a picture with their own camera. The lunch will be held at the Union Hill Community Center. The cost for the lunch is $3 per person.

Fencing Club

This monthly program is designed for the advanced fencer who has completed beginning and intermediate classes. This club meets on Wednesdays starting December 1 from 6 - 8 p.m. It is designed for fencers ages 11 and up who want to continue to perfect their skills. The cost is $60 per month.

Introductory Clogging

No previous dance experience is necessary to join the fun and learn clogging. Children will learn the basic clogging steps, line dance routines and traditional figures and steps. Diverse clogging routines will be taught, set to traditional bluegrass and contemporary country music. The classes are held on Thursdays starting December 2 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The class is for ages 8 - 13. The cost is $35 per month.

The playground at the CRPA Recreation Center is just one of many features at the Center. The Center is located at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (770) 924-7768.

Pee Wee Tennis

Pee Wee Tennis is designed to teach children ages 4 - 8 years old how to play tennis. The class is taught indoors on a court one-quarter size of regulation with a net that is 28 inches high. Equipment is provided. The sessions will be on Wednesdays, December 1 - 22 at 3 - 3:30 p.m., 3:30 - 4 p.m., 4 - 4:30 p.m. and 4:30 -5 p.m. The cost is $25. Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites, and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting for the Silver Roamers will be held on Monday December 6 at the Recreation Center at 11 a.m.

The Silver Roamers Annual Holiday Party will be held on Wednesday December 15 at 12 noon. Enjoy an afternoon with friends you've made throughout the past year. There will be a holiday lunch, gift exchange and Bingo. Please bring a wrapped gift valued around $5. The cost is $18 for members and $21 for non-members, which includes lunch, Bingo and holiday snacks.

Watercolor Painting

Learn the fundamentals of watercolor painting with techniques such as wash, glazing and drybrush. Classes begin on December 7 and are held Tuesdays 10 - 12 p.m. and Wednesdays 7 - 9 p.m. The classes are at the Recreation Center and the cost is $50.

Winter Break Day Camp

Those interested in having their child attend Winter Break Camp on December 20 - 22 and/or December 27 - 31, may contact the CRPA office. In the past, the CRPA has failed to fill the 25 spots required to hold the camp.
