From the

Towne Lake Business Association

Happy Holidays from the Towne Lake Business Association (TLBA). The TLBA welcomes you to "Towne Lake, the friendliest little town in Georgia."

December wraps up another year and brings renewed optimism for the new year. Whether your candidates won or not, the elections finally are over, and now all of us can look forward to what we hope will be an even brighter and more prosperous new year.

With a new year comes new challenges, and the TLBA will continue to help the Towne Lake area business community prepare and conquer these challenges. With that thought in mind, the TLBA will continue to host its Lunch 'N' Workshops, along with several Business After Hours events planned for the new year.

Please take a look at our calendar of upcoming events.

Lunch 'N' Learn Workshops

The Lunch 'N' Workshops will resume on January 18, 2005 with a fresh slate of new topics for the new year. The topics will range from budgeting to marketing to personnel management. Please check future issues of The TowneLaker for upcoming workshops.

All Workshops are held at Feathertone's at Towne Lake Hills.

Please R.S.V.P. to (770) 517-8210, ext. 550.

Holiday Gala

The TLBA will host its Annual Holiday Gala on Tuesday, December 14 from 7 - 9:30 p.m. at Featherstone's at Towne Lake Hills. A variety of hot hors d'oeuvres and wine samplings will be provided. A cash bar will also be available. All active members and guests are invited to attend. This should be a great opportunity to get to know members of our local business community.

Reservations are required. To R.S.V.P. or for more information about the TLBA or any of our upcoming events, please call (770) 516-7105, ext. 250.

As always, we thank you for supporting our community and our local businesses, and thus "Keeping Towne Lake Dollars in Cherokee." All of us at the TLBA wish you and your family a happy and safe Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

Susan Vickery

Do you ever feel guilty about boarding your pet while you're away? Are you tired of imposing on friends and neighbors for this important task? Do your animals need exercise and care while you're at work? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you'll want to find out more about X-Static Pets, a professional in-home pet sitting service that specializes in peace of mind. Serving Towne Lake, Woodstock and Marietta since 2002, X-Static Pets has developed a reputation for caring professionalism in the pet-care industry.

According to the American Humane Society, pets are happiest when they're at home, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds and smells. But when you're away, it's important that your animals are treated with kindness, courtesy and loving care. X-Static Pets makes sure that your pets are fed and exercised and that they always feel right at home!

It comes as no surprise that owner Susan Vickery is an animal lover and pet parent herself. It was her active participation in the AKC and five years of showing and breeding champion Doberman Pinchers that introduced her to the need for reliable, professional in-home pet care. Canine training and extensive study in the field of pet nutrition also contribute to her success and keep satisfied customers coming back again and again.

Whether your pet needs a mid-day potty break and a walk while you're at work or full service care when you're out of town, X-Static Pets can meet your needs. Susan and her staff are certified in Pet Tech emergency care and can administer medications and sub-coetaneous injections. X-Static Pets is insured and bonded and provides extra services such as crime-deterrent measures, watering plants, taking in mail and more. Conveniences such as on-line reservations, billing and payment are available. Susan also offers information on pet nutrition and training.
