Aerobic Classes

The Recreation Center offers aerobic classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Classes are also offered on Mondays at 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per month. Childcare is available for $15 per month. Instructors demonstrate all levels of intensity and modification to benefit participants. A wide variety of exercises will be demonstrated. Participants are encouraged to bring a towel to class to use with floor mats.

American Red Cross
Babysitting Class

This course is ideal for current and future babysitters. It will teach important childcare skills such as bathing, first aid skills, feeding and more. Each participant will receive a babysitter's handbook and official certification. The course will be held on February 21 from 9 a.m - 3 p.m. for ages 11 through 15. The cost is $45.

Start Smart Soccer

This introductory class is for children ages 3 - 6 and prepares them for organized soccer in a fun non-threatening environment. Koosh equipment is used, and parents will work one-on-one with their children. The sessions will be held on Thursdays, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., beginning February 17 through March 24. The cost is $65 which includes a t-shirt, a Koosh soccer ball, a Gyro size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, cones and a manual.

Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites, and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting will be on Monday, February 2 at 11 a.m. at the Recreation Center. Membership is only $20 per year, which allows you many benefits including discounts on events and trips. If you are interested in joining, simply stop by the Center and apply.

the CNN Center. The bus will leave from the Recreation Center at 9:15 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center at 9:45 a.m. The cost for transportation and the tour is $15 for members and $18 for non-members. Please bring money for lunch.

The Annual Valentine's Day Bingo will be on Monday, February 14 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Recreation Center. Join the group for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. The cost is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Please bring your favorite breakfast dish to share with everyone. Coffee and juice will be provided.

Tang Soo Do

This form of martial arts is for everyone: children, teens and adults. The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. or 7:45 - 8:45 p.m. The class is for ages six and older. Tennis Lessons

Tennis Lesson will be offered for children ages six to ten years old beginning the week of February 15 through March 22. The lessons will be held on Tuesdays from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at Hobgood Park and on Saturdays from 10 - 11 a.m. at Kenny Askew Park. The cost is $50 per six week session. Yoga

The Recreation Center offers a great way to relax, relieve stress gain flexibility and become more focused on your everyday life with Yoga. The class is held on Saturday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per class.
