American Red Cross
Babysitting Class

This course is ideal for current and future babysitters. It will teach important childcare skills such as bathing, first aid skills, feeding and more. Each participant will receive a babysitter's handbook and official certification. The course will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m - 3 p.m. for ages 11 through 15. The cost is $45.

Beginning Ballroom Dancing

Gain a new appreciation for a classical form of exercise. Everyone age 11 and up is welcome to join this class; no previous experience needed. Learn the steps to the Foxtrot, Waltz, Jitterbug Cha-Cha and more. Classes will be held on Mondays at 6 p.m., beginning April 25 through June 6. The cost is $45.

Fencing Club

This monthly club is designed for the intermediate to advanced fencer who wishes to perfect their fencing skills. Meetings will be held every Wednesday, beginning April 6 from 6 - 8 p.m. for ages 11 and older. The cost is $60 per month.

Kindermusik

These classes are designed to foster a love of music in your child. Movement and creativity are part of the fun. Parents also get to work with their children, enjoying their wonder and

Silver Roamers

If you enjoy meeting people, visiting sites and having a great time, the Silver Roamers Club is for you. They meet monthly to discuss upcoming events. The next meeting will be on Monday, April 4 at the Recreation Center at 11 a.m.

On Thursday, April 7, the Roamers will go to the Theatre in the Square and attend The Piano Lesson, a play set in 1936 Pittsburgh. The cost is

The playground at the CRPA Recreation Center is just one of many features at the Center. The Center is located at 7545 Main Street in Woodstock. For more information, call (770) 924-7768.

$22 for members and $27 for nonmembers and includes transportation and admission. The group will stop for lunch before the show. The bus will leave the Center at 11:45 a.m. and the Canton Senior Center at 12:15 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 13 the Roamers will visit Historic Oakland Cemetery, the burial place of many famous Georgians. The 88 acre park is shaded with ancient oaks and magnolia trees. After the tour they will enjoy a classic southern lunch at Mary Mac's Tea Room. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers, and includes tour, transportation and lunch.

Smart Start Baseball

This program offers a developmentally appropriate introduction to baseball for children ages three to six. Koosh equipment is used, which has been tested and proven to be very effective in teaching young children. Each week exercises become more difficult as the children improve. The cost is $65. Tennis Lessons

Tennis lessons will be offered at Hobgood Park every Tuesday, beginning the week of April 12 through May 16. Class times for the three age groups are: Beginner Child (ages 6 - 10), 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.; Beginner Junior (ages 11 - 15), 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.; and Beginner Adult (ages 16 +), 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The cost is $50 per 6 week session. Yoga

The Recreation Center offers a great way to relax, relieve stress gain flexibility and become more focused in your everyday life with Yoga. The class is held on Saturday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per class.
