From the
Towne Lake Business
Association
The Towne Lake Business
Association (TLBA) currently is in the midst of conducting its Entrepreneurial
Scholarship Contest. These $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a graduating
college or technical school-bound high school senior, one each at Etowah
and Woodstock High Schools. We will announce the winners at each school's
Honors Night.
In March, the TLBA hosted its first quarterly
Business After Hours of the year. More than forty people attended this
event at Stonebridge Tavern and enjoyed a variety of hors d'oeuvres and
beverages. It was a great opportunity for members and guests to network
and get to know each other better in a relaxed after-hours environment.
Stay tuned to future articles for details on the next Business After Hours.
The topic of our March Lunch 'N' Workshop
was "Creating Excellent Customer Service." The members and guests
in attendance were treated to a number of ways to help improve customer
service at their businesses. We want to thank Mark Nelson of Toastmasters
International for leading the workshop. Please take a look at our upcoming
calendar of events.
