IN JUNE 1996, Gina Carr launched The TowneLaker magazine. The premise was simple: establish a publication that would bring the community together and make the community stronger. Since that time, a second magazine, Sixes Living Magazine focusing on the Sixes and BridgeMill areas, was launched and two franchise magazines, Around Canton and Around Woodstock, were successfully started as well. As The TowneLaker celebrates its 9th year of publication, we'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the team.

Gina Carr - Founder. It was Gina's vision that brought The TowneLaker to life in 1996. Gina graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and earned an MBA from Harvard. Since 1994, she has been President and Managing Broker for CENTURY 21 Advantage. Gina serves on the Board of Directors for the Hope Center, the Towne Lake Business Association and the Georgia Tech Athletic Association. She recently helped establish People4Pets and the Towne Lake Toastmasters Club. She and Don have one son, Donald. A little known fact about Gina is that she was a record-holding competitive water skier from childhood through college.

Don Kyle - Publisher. Don and his wife Gina started The TowneLaker in 1996 and Sixes Living Magazine in 2000. Don was born in Tokyo, but grew up in Florida. He graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a degree in Accounting. Don is involved with numerous community organizations, including the Towne Lake Business Association and Towne Lake Community Church. Don is an avid reader and enjoys working out at The Club at Towne Lake. He also is a huge FSU fan. A little known fact about Don is that he sold Bibles door to door for two summers while in college, which helped fund his education.

Susan Kyle - Managing Editor. Susan has been with The TowneLaker for five years. She became the Editor for The TowneLaker and Sixes Living Magazine and has held the position of Managing Editor since 2002. Susan was born and reared in Buffalo, New York and has five older brothers. She moved to Georgia in 1994 and worked in human resources and recruiting until she moved to the Towne Lake area with her husband, William. Susan has two young

daughters, Molly and Samantha. The one thing a lot of people don't know about Susan is that she once won $100 in a karaoke contest! Susan also is the primary trainer for new franchisees.

Kara Kiefer - Editor. Kara has been with the publications for three years and is the primary staff writer for The TowneLaker and Sixes Living Magazine. She moved to the Towne Lake area 11 years ago from Denver, Colorado. Kara is married to Mike and has two sons, Brandon and Garrett. She enjoys tennis and plays women's ALTA and Mixed Doubles. One thing a lot of people don't know about Kara is that she participated in the Semester at Sea study abroad program while in college, which allowed her to visit places such as Turkey, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, China and Greece.

Leslie Proctor - Advertising Manager. Leslie has been the magazines' Advertising Manager for six years. Leslie's responsibilities include advertising sales and design, billing and collections. Leslie was born and reared in Miami, FL. She moved to Woodstock in 1995. She is married to John and they have one beloved cat, Katie. One interesting fact about Leslie that few people know is that she had taken dance lessons since she was very young, including cotillion.

Michelle McCulloch - Graphic Artist. Michelle is the newest member of the staff, joining the team in 2004 when she and her family relocated from Deerfield Beach, Florida. While in Florida, Michelle worked as a graphic artist for an educational publisher for more than 15 years. She is originally from Rochester, New York. She is married to Jim and has two sons, Bryan and Christopher. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys boating on Lake Allatoona, gardening and photography. Michelle's little known fact is that she met her husband on a blind date.

Robby Jensen - Field Representative. Robby has been with The TowneLaker for several months. Robby also assists the listing agents at CENTURY 21 Advantage with a variety of duties. He is responsible for distributing and replenishing The TowneLaker and Sixes Living magazines throughout the community. Robby has lived in Georgia for 15 years. He is married to Ruth, and he has two children. Robby and his wife are highly involved in their neighborhood. One talent Robby has that very few people know about is the fact he can juggle.
