Heritage
Presbyterian Church will host a blood drive on Tuesday, June 14 from 2
1 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 5323 Bells Ferry

Market Open to Public

Farmers Market sponsored by Cagle's Dairy and the Cherokee County Master
Gardeners is open every Saturday through Labor Day weekend from 8 a.m.
1 12 noon. Vendors are needed for Georgia grown products. Fruits, vegetables,
plants, seeds and herbs are all welcome along with crafts made from Georgia

Stone Creamery will donate 50% off all net sales on Monday, June 13 from
7 1 9 p.m. to the Nicole Slifcak medical fund. Additionally, Cold Stone
Creamery, Nature's Break and Earth, Paint and Fire will donate 10% of
their daily net sales that day to the fund. All three shops are located

Mah
Jongg Tournament
The
William G. Long Senior Center will host its First American Mah Jongg Tournament,
hosted by the Green Dragon Mah Jongg Society. The event will be held on
Monday, June 13 from 10 a.m. 1 3 p.m. The entry fee is $10 and includes
12 games, door prizes, dessert and beverages. Pre-registration will be
held on Tuesday, June 7 from 10 a.m. 1 1 p.m. Seating is limited and players
must be over the age of 18. All proceeds benefit the Senior Center. For

Free Seminars
The
Cherokee County Master Gardeners will host two free seminars. "Flowering
Shrubs-Hydrangeas" will be held on Saturday, June 4. "Bring Native Plants
Into Your Garden" will be held on Saturday, June 11. Both seminars will
be held at the Hickory Flat Library on East Cherokee Drive from 10 1 11:30

Safety Splash
Safe
Kids of Georgia in Cherokee County will hold its Annual Summer Safety
Splash on Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. 1 2 p.m. The event will be held
at the Galts Ferry Day Use Area of Lake Allatoona. All children who participate
will receive a free personal flotation device. The event will include
a kid's fishing tournament, games, music and safety instruction. Admission

Starlight
Movie
On
Saturday, June 11, the CRPA will host an outdoor movie in a series planned
for the summer. The movie will be "Ice Age" and will start at dusk. The
movie is shown on a four-story tall movie screen at Hobgood Park. There
also will be vendors, music and games. You are welcome to bring your own

Wellness Classes
Northside
Hospital 1 Cherokee will host two women's wellness classes. The first
topic is Skin Care and will be held on Tuesday, June 7. There will be
a demonstration on skin care techniques with gift bags of product samples
for all those who attend. The second seminar is titled Snoring, Sleepiness
and Sleep Apnea. The class will address common sleep problems and will
be held on Tuesday, June 14. All classes are held at the Northside 1 Cherokee

Woodstock
City Park
Concert Series
The
City of Woodstock has commenced its Annual Concert in the Park series
with "Woodstock Rocks, 2005." June's scheduled performer is country music
star Julie Roberts. She had one of the top 10 country albums for 2004.
The concert will be on Friday, June 3, at 7 p.m.; seating is first come,
first serve. Picnics are welcome but alcohol is not. Bring the entire
family for this free event!
