2005 Fur Ball

The second annual Fur Ball held at the historic Canton Theatre was a tremendous success. According to co-chair, Gina Carr-Kyle, the event raised more than $11,000, more than doubling the amount raised from last year's inaugural event. The proceeds will help Cherokee County's homeless animal population. "One of the planned events is a Spay-A-Thon day in conjunction with the Cherokee County Humane Society and Project CatSnip," said co-chair Felicia McAleer. Participants enjoyed fabulous food, drink and entertainment by comedienne Karen Mills, bands Toonigh and True Dixon and vocalist Tracie Elliot. A special Thank You to all the sponsors, participants and volunteers and especially Marilyn Dillard and Dave Neace of the Canton Theatre!
