Summer Vacation Photo Contest

Now that school’s out, take a copy of The TowneLaker on vacation with you and take a picture. This year we will award two prizes, one to the person who travels the farthest in the U.S. and one to the person who travels the farthest in the world. We will publish all entrants' photos! The deadline to enter is Friday, July 10 2009.

We need to know:

• Where you were — the city and state or country
• What special things you did on vacation
• Who is in the picture
• Your name and phone number

Summer Vacation Essay Contest

Since school is out, we have a fun idea to keep you busy. Around Town - The TowneLaker wants to know what you are doing this summer; the winner of our contest will receive a great prize and will be featured in our September issue.

Write an essay about what you did on your Summer break and what you learned from it. We will not only publish the winner’s entry, but the winner will receive a great prize.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

• Essay is a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 200 words.
• Essay includes what you did this summer and what you learned from it.
• Please include a picture of what you did.

You can mail in your entry (in your best handwriting) to the address above or email it to editor@townelaker.com. The deadline is Monday, August 10. Include your name, age and phone number.

And remember the winner will receive an awesome prize!
