Everyday AngelsA special thanks to all who contributed to Sidney Stewart’s and Eli Brown’s funds. We always are amazed at the support of our caring community.Everyday Angels has had a busy month! We are happy to work with local school counselors, with student and family needs as well as network with community churches and the HOPE Center. We’ve spread ourselves thin this month with trying to assist in small ways to many: baby items for a student, assisting to keep hot water to a family with a special needs child, purchasing eye glasses for someone who considered them a luxury and rental assistance. Sometimes it is the small things that make the biggest differences. Our list is long today with quickly depleting funds. We will continue to use our blessings to bless others and encourage them during stressful times. It is all about compassion and understanding of others’ needs and selfless thinking. It’s understanding that it just isn’t “about us.” This month, we will feature a young, single mom who left an abusive relationship with her husband who is battling alcoholism. After a year of trying to make things work, she could no longer allow herself or her children to live in an erratic, unstable environment. Her bravery has caused her to move away from her home temporarily in hopes that her husband can gain control of his situation and they once again can be the family they once were. Everyday Angels will assist her with groceries and rental costs during this most difficult time. We are currently seeking local service partners for some specific needs: Periodontal/dentures (lower) and Optical/prescription eye glasses. Everyday Angels is a non-profit organization that provides short-term funding (currently up to a maximum of $425 per month) to those in our community in need.
