Your Bikini Body by Summer
by Payam Mahmoodzadeh
EVERYONE wants to look good in a bathing suit as the summer approaches! The thought of putting on shorts appalls you as you look into the mirror at all the additions to your waist, hips and thighs the winter sweats were covering up. But never fear! There is still plenty of time to get back that bikini body before you hit the beach.
If you are like most people, you indulged yourself way too much over the winter months and used every excuse in the book for not exercising. Well guess what? It’s payback time! There is no reason why you cannot make a significant improvement to your physical appearance within three short months. There is a correct method that will help you see results fast. The key is ensuring that you properly target all of the key components — nutrition, weight resistance and cardiovascular training. If everything is done correctly and consistently, the results are fast and continuous. However, even if you have one part of the formula wrong, your results can be slow and probably will fall short of your goals for that little bikini you bought.
First, remember, you are what you eat! If your diet consists of sodas and donuts, then you probably look like you’re wearing a donut around your waist. Scary thought since the amount of fat you carry around your mid-section is in direct proportion to the amount of fat you’re carrying around your heart! So the first step in improving your body from the inside out is to ensure that you are on a healthy and proven nutrition program. If you want to reduce your waistline fast and show those “abs,” you have to dial in your nutrition to the exact number of calories your body needs. Remember any excess calories not used up are stored as fat! I highly recommend hiring a professional to customize a personal nutrition program for you. This will get you fast results and take the “guessing game” out of your nutrition plan.
Next, weight resistance training will help tone your body, strengthen your bones and your muscles, and increase your metabolism. Weight resistance training is the only way to increase lean muscle and skeletal strength. This means you will have a faster metabolism because muscle burns calories 24 hours per day! And for every pound of muscle you add to your body, you will increase your metabolism by five hundred calories per day. That’s extremely important for anyone over 35 years of age. Each year, your metabolism slows down. Weight resistance is the only way to keep your muscles toned and shapely. By executing an efficient weight resistance program four days per week, you can keep your figure toned, tight and looking young as the years pass by. It is the healthiest proven way to stay young and energetic as we get older.
Now that you’re eating well and toning up the muscles, you must engage in some intense cardiovascular training to burn off that fat. There is no pill to do it for you. It’s either cardiovascular training or liposuction, and the overall health benefits of cardiovascular training far outweigh the pain, cost and recovery of lipo. However, make sure you have your heart rate in the optimum zone to burn fat when you are doing your cardiovascular exercise routine or it is to no avail. In 12 weeks, you could be turning heads on the beach in that sexy bikini. There is no time to waste. Remember results start when you do!
