Father of the Year ContestTo enter, all you have to do is write an essay answering a few questions about why your dad is the best dad ever. The winning father will be featured in the June issue of Around Town/The TowneLaker. All nominees will receive an honorable mention.
Essays should be 200 words or less and answer the following questions: 1. What does your dad do that makes you feel special? 2. What makes him more special than any other dad? 3. What is the most important lesson that your dad has taught you?
Deadline for nominations is Friday, May 9 at 5 p.m. All entries should be for a father who lives in the Towne Lake area. Essays must include the writer’s full name and age, the nominee’s name, a contact phone number and address, plus a photo. Essays and photos will be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided. The winning essay will be selected by Around Town/The TowneLaker’s Community Board based on the above criteria. Essays not meeting these criteria will not be eligible to win. All entries should be for a father who lives in the Towne Lake area.
